We’re governed by our Board of Trustees who are all volunteers for the Great Denham Community Hall. The trustees have ultimate responsibility for the CIO's vision, activities and community engagement. They meet regularly to
discuss our governance and operations. We're always looking for local people who are passionate about Great Denham to join us as Trustees, so if you are interested, then please get in touch by emailing email@example.com.
Will has lived in Great Denham since 2014. One of the original trustees and a Civil Engineer by training, he helped to guide the Hall through it's design and construction phase. A two year stint in Dublin meant he was unable to see the Hall officially open. On his return in 2019 he was keen to be involved in the running of this wonderful community asset. He was elected Chair in 2020. A father of 2 children, Will can often be seen on his 8Freight cargo bike around Great Denham. He also enjoys canoeing from GD, Sailing and Scottish Country Dancing (Just don't ask him what he wears under the kilt).
Sam joined the Great Denham Community Hall as a trustee in 2019. A former member of the British Army, Sam moved to Great Denham with his wife and two dogs in 2018. By day he works as a Marketing Manager for a Cambridge-based tech startup, and in his spare time, Sam volunteers as a youth leader for the local Army Cadet Force based out of Kempston.
Jim first became involved in the Community Hall project from 2011 which started with a consultation asking the community what it wanted. As the then Chair of the Parish Council, Jim put forward a business plan to run the hall through a registered charity. In 2016 a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) was created with 14 trustees. Jim has lived in Great Denham for 22 years and has a son and daughter-in-law and two grandchildren living in the parish. He left the Parish Council in 2018 and was elected as a Borough Cllr in May 2019. Jim was chair of governors at GDPS for 8 years and still serves as a governor at the school. He also serves as a governor of East London Foundation Trust (ELFT) NHS.
Gemma trained as a Solicitor with a leading Luton-based firm before setting up her own private practice. She lives in Great Denham with her two children, and has been a member of the Board of Trustees since its incorporation in 2016.

Social Mobility is a passion of Rob's, and he has been involved in numerous charities and initiatives to improve the opportunities of those from the most disadvantaged backgrounds.

Rachel joined as a trustee when the hall first opened in April 2016. Rachel has been living in Great Denham for the last 22 years when the majority of the village was green fields, so it has been an amazing experience to see it develop and grow, hence the interest in becoming a trustee of the hall and giving something back to the community. Rachel lives close by to the country park with her husband and two boys.
